JOB DESCRIPTION Manage Production: Plan, organize, direct, and run optimum day-to-day operations to exceed our customers' expectations. Increase production, capacity, and flexibility while minimizing unnecessary costs. Responsible for production output, product quality and on-time shipping. Allocate resources effectively and fully utilize assets to produce optimal results. Implement strategies in alignment with strategic initiatives and provide a clear sense of direction and focus. Monitor operations and trigger corrective actions. Share a trusting relationship with workgroup, recruit, manage and develop plant staff. Improve plant flow and efficiency. Develop systems and processes that track and optimize productivity and standards, metrics, and performance targets to ensure effective return on assets. Analyze data and create reports to present to ownership regarding processes. Stay up-to-date with the latest production management best practices and concepts. Initiate cross functional work teams that improve plant performance. Maintain Plant Assets – Personnel and Equipment: Address employees' issues and grievances. Commit to plant safety procedures. Develop and cross-train all staff. EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS A Bachelor's Degree in Manufacturing Engineering or Quality Engineering is preferred. 5 to 7 years of industry experience in mid-size company with staff above 40 will also be considered. QUALIFICATIONS Proven working experience as a plant manager. Adequate knowledge of business and management principles. Familiarity with industry standard equipment and technical expertise in open cast molding. Knowledge of safety, quality, productivity, inventory, and improvement processes. Ability to create accountability and to lead by example. Strong team building, decision-making and people management skills. OTHER ESSENTIAL SKILLS Excellent written and verbal communication. Ability to lead a large team. Strong attention to detail. Multi-tasking and time-management skills. Interpersonal skills. Knowledge of latest safety laws and regulations. Detailed knowledge of plant and manufacturing operations. Good problem-solving abilities. Applications will only be accepted through February 28, 2022.
