While leading the production, engineering, and field operations teams, someone who is more knowledgeable, practical, skilled in mechanics, and possesses excellent leadership skills that command respect. Summary
The Plant Manager (reporting to the President) plays a critical role in the day-to-day success of all products manufactured by the company. While leading the production, engineering, and field operations teams, someone who is more knowledgeable, practical, skilled in mechanics, and possesses excellent leadership skills that command respect. Preferably someone with experience in Lean Six Sigma.
Responsibilities
- Create and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA), and foster, promote, and embody a high-energy, positive, "can-do" culture.
- Constant presence at the desk in the manufacturing facility office is required. Working with machine operators on the shop floor is required from time to time.
- Produce manufacturing reports and deliver them to upper management. Any manufacturing problems that may arise require direct corrections (corrective action).
- Plan and determine the best way to use manufacturing workers and equipment to achieve manufacturing goals. Ensure that manufacturing is completed on time and within budget.
- Continual improvement of safety and quality control processes Setting and maintaining productivity standards for each manufacturing team, as well as ensuring staffing requirements
- Help meet or exceed customer, statutory, standard, and internal requirements. Hiring, training, motivating, and evaluating manufacturing employees; ensuring that employees meet performance and safety standards.
- Analyze manufacturing data to identify trends, anomalies, and areas for improvement; identify and implement methods for increasing the efficiency and effectiveness of the manufacturing process (reducing waste, using lean)
- Will be in charge of factory operations, maintenance, instruction, quality assurance, general production, and shipping.

- Individual who is energetic and enthusiastic about continuous improvement, innovative and creative individual who is a self-starter, Individual who can take direction while asking questions as needed
- Bachelor's degree, LEAN Manufacturing training, Theory of Constraints background (or 4 years of relevant experience)
- S2M Center experience with CNC programming, parametric modeling, and cabinet vision (or similar)
- Must have strong organizational skills in order to work in this fast-paced environment
- 3 to 5 years of relevant manufacturing experience, Woodworking background
- Proficient in Word, Excel, AutoCAD or other drafting skills
