Roles related to the design, production and maintenance of structures, systems and components in client production plants and facilities. Develops and applies engineering standards and procedures and provides advice on issues, including problem solving and the assessment of new technologies.
Performs a variety of activities related to the improvement, control, testing and inspection of production or operation processes and products. Ensures compliance with regulatory requirements, good manufacturing practices and other quality standards.

IMPACT: Impacts the results of own function by driving thought leadership and innovation in key disciplines/technical areas and influencing the functional or business strategy.

COMPLEXITY: Solves unique problems with a broad business impact that require in-depth and/or breadth of expertise in own job discipline and broad knowledge of other job disciplines within the organization function.

ACCOUNTABILITY/ INDEPENDENCE: Accountable for setting the technical direction in the field of expertise that is key to the business unit.

EXPERIENCE: Typically graduate background plus extensive and leading professional experience. Encompasses knowledge which cannot easily be found in the market. Progression to this level is typically restricted on the basis of business requirements.

ORGANIZATION: Typically reports to a Manager role, Project Manager role for a defined period of time based on organizational set-up (there is not necessarily a difference in role level between a manager and its direct reports - same level or lower level reporting is possible, provided job scope and responsibilities are clearly distinct) may manage a small to mid-size team of experts with a focus on technical/ operational guidance on specific time-bound initiatives. BS degree 15 yrs exp, MS degree 10+ yrs exp, PhD 8 yrs exp
