Responsibilities Applies engineering principles to develop technically rigorous solutions to meet customer/functional specifications & manufacturing costs/requirements. Able to break down complex engineering problems into fundamental physics and assumptions to: Clarify the technical challenges of the problem Identify the appropriate techniques and tools Output meaningful, impactful solutions Supports and participates in the design, test, modification, fabrication and testing of prototypes Effectively applies APQP/QFD to identify and mitigate project risks Works independently with general supervision from higher level professionals and subject matter experts Communicates and collaborates effectively with stakeholders, teammates, and partners Other Duties as Assigned   Minimum Qualifications Typically requires a master's degree in mechanical engineering, engineering mechanics, or equivalent with 2-3 years of experience or a Ph.D. without experience Able to navigate, troubleshoot, and interpret results from commercially available FEA software
