Currently looking for a Production Manager in our Production Department.
The Production Manager is directly responsible for leading the manufacturing team to develop, execute, and maintain systems that enable the mixing, stock preparation, tire building, and curing divisions to meet or exceed organizational objectives in the domains of safety, quality, production, and cost.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.
Other duties may be assigned.

  • Ensures environmental, safety, and health policies and procedures are applied effectively and enforced in the manufacturing areas.
    Lead efforts to improve safety results across all production departments.

  • Evaluate performance levels within the manufacturing area for safety, quality, production, cost and housekeeping.
    Leads the team and takes necessary steps to meet or exceed performance levels in all areas.

  • Plans and executes production operations by establishing priorities, allocating resources, providing proper supervision, and maintaining correct inventory levels for smooth and efficient operations within the production departments.
    Achieves the production plan outlined by supply chain, ensuring all products meet specifications and exceed customer requirements.

  • Reviews daily reports to resolve operational, manufacturing, and maintenance issues to ensure minimal costs and operational delays.
    Compiles, stores, and analyzes production data to determine trends, bottlenecks and issues with factory flow.

  • Leads the production team and collaborates with engineering, maintenance, and industrial engineering departments to ensure operational performance and utilization of production machines.
    Collaborates with the continuous improvement team to influence and support all continuous improvement work to meet or exceed plant objectives.

  • Develops or revises standard operating procedures and work practices and observes team members to ensure compliance with standards.

  • Collaborates with support teams which include Technical, Quality Assurance, EHS, HR, Production Control and Continuous Improvement Team Managers to achieve organizational goals.
    Effectively communicates and collaborates with superiors, peers, division managers, supervisors, team members, customers, suppliers, and technical staff.

  • Interprets company policies to manufacturing division managers, supervisors, and team members.
    Ensure plant policies are administered fairly and uniformly throughout the manufacturing areas.

  • Maintain effective balance between organizational needs and individual team member needs.
    Provides positive reinforcement when behavior and results exceed expectations.
    Resolves conflicts in a constructive manner.
    Works to create a collaborative and inclusive culture.

  • Demonstrate effective problem-solving skills and leads through a fact-based decision-making process.

  • Ensure performance evaluations and counseling sessions are conducted in a constructive manner.

  • Works with Human Resources Department to hire, train, and develop manufacturing personnel in the execution of their responsibilities.

  • Attends meetings as scheduled and facilitates meetings when required.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's degree (B.
    S.
    ) from four-year college or university is strongly preferred
  • Ten years of related leadership experience and/or training
  • OR equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Understands concepts of Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and Kaizen (continuous improvement).
