**Training on 1st shift for 3 to 4 weeks M-F 6:00A - 2:00 or 2:30P**

**high school diploma or equivalent**
**Steel Toed Shoes Required.**

SUMMARY OF POSITION:
The Pellet Mill Operator further processes feed by changing the feed from a meal form to a pellet form within the guidelines of Feed Quality Management System (FQMS). The individual is responsible for keeping both pelleting systems active. The pellet mill operator must keep all downstream production (Packer and Bulk Loadout) supplied with product. The pellet mill operator must know and understand each pellet system in order to operate it safely and efficiently. The pellet mill operator pellets mixed meal per PAN specific feed formulations and specs. The operator must comply with PAN Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs). The individual must also follow the established housekeeping guidelines.

SKILLS/REQUIREMENTS:
• Mechanically inclined individual who can help troubleshoot their system.
• Must possess knowledge of E1 computer System and operation of equipment.
• Individual must understand and abide by all PAN Code of Conduct, Safety, Quality, and Environmental programs.
• Person must be able to lift at least 50 pounds from the floor to a height of 50 inches.
• Proficiently operate a forklift truck in a safe manner.
• Be able to withstand heights such as tops of bins, legs, and other equipment.
• PAN requires all employees to work together to produce a quality product in a prompt and courteous manner.
• Practice good customer service procedures.
• Individual must accurately complete all documents for in-house use and federal regulations.
• Person must be able to perform required duties sufficiently with minimal supervision, assist in troubleshooting, and work overtime when required.
• Be able to safely change pellet mill dies and rolls. This will require various tools and physical strength.
• Must be able to perform simple math (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
• Proficient in basic computer skills.
• Must possess the ability to work as a positive team member.
• Required to help Mixer Operator dumping bags, and Packer Operators, and other employees as needed,
• All Other duties assigned by a Supervisor, and a Lead Person
