Title : Production support lead (.Net)

Location : Houston, TX

Duration : CWR

Required Skills/Experience:

Incident management:

Incident analysis which requires initial analysis and prioritizing the incident, debugging DotNet/Oracle code and identifying the root cause of the issue. Provide workaround if a long term fix is required. Application landscape varies from Insurance policy governance to record keeping. Incident management duties also includes Triaging and dispatching work to offshore and other support groups, Hosting calls and coordinating with support groups like Infrastructure, Network and DBA teams for high priority incidents and application outages. Attend In-person standup calls every day to provide status on open incidents and participate in retrospection meetings for resolved incidents. Provide technical and functional guidance for offshore and co-ordinate with business for functional queries. Interacting with Business Owners and Application users to resolve their technical issues. Follow the Cognizant AVM Insurance and Client SLA Guidelines and ITIL process.

Application Maintenance & Monitoring:

Support person will coordinate maintenance activities like server patching, database maintenance, monthly and quarterly cycle support. Creating health rules and monitoring business transactions response and set up alerts using App Dynamics performance monitoring tool. Have to organize weekend maintenance and Release day support schedules.

Service Requests & Problem Management:

Problem management which includes fulfillment of Service requests, minor enhancements and problem tickets which requires understanding Client's existing process, environments, code guidelines, databases and deployments. Perform exercises related to proprietary software system functionality. Study Current architecture, prepare high level as well as technical design document and provide estimates for the user stories. Participate in business requirements and functional requirements gathering, which involves a review of existing system functionality and configurations as well as understanding future business needs. Provide support for Model and Acceptance test environment and resolve technical issues, maintain lower environments and assist business with Acceptance testing. Analyze the project to understand the existing functionalities developed and implement new enhancements in technologies using ASP.Net, ADO.Net, Webservices and Oracle. The intricacies of Arun's roles are complex and thus, distinguish the proffered position as that of a specialty occupation. Attending business meetings and developing the new functionalities as requested by them.

Prioritizing, resolving issues reported by users and support groups. Issue analysis, Debugging and providing Root cause analysis for long term fix. Perform debt analysis for Designing and providing automation solution for repeated requests and issues. Solve the technical problems in coding/development in order to ensure quality of the deliverables.
