- Responsible for tracking program/project performance (cost, schedule, scope) over the lifecycle as measured against the baseline or operating plan (as applicable) and to use this information to develop and provide key insights/recommendations to leadership for decision making.
- Influence, interact and coordinate through and in support of a cross functional team which may include but is not limited to: engineering, manufacturing, operations, supply chain, and finance teams to identify, track, and report changes to the plan.
- To develop the process for and chair the program change control board
- Perform weekly and monthly business battle rhythm to collect data on and provide insights on program performance (cost, schedule, scope) including, changes from baseline, critical path analysis, schedule/cost variance analysis, and Earned Value Management System (EVMS)
- Perform cost and schedule "what-if" analysis to assist decision making
- Assist in various aspects of resource management including generation planned effort in support of allocation decisions and the according reporting of resource fill rates
- Responsible for managing the quoting/estimation process during new program builds and replanning as required.
- Develop and maintain product cost models to assist Program leaders in decision making
- Develop and maintain business cases and models to support supplier negotiations for materials and components as required
- Management of WBS and the application to project and program planning to ensure costs remain aligned
- Working with functional counterparts to establish relevant program reporting to support decision making
- Develop future project cost, schedule, and scope estimates through discussions with others and/or self-assisted research, including annual budgets, cash flow forecasts, and long term strategic business models
- Bachelor's degree and 5+ years applicable experience relative to program planning, financial management, and execution
- Advanced knowledge regarding the effective integration of schedule and cost in an EVMS environment
- Experience with necessary artifacts built/developed during the planning processes [e.g., IMP, IMS, Product Breakdown Structure (PBS), Work Breakdown Structures (WBS)] within MS Project environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and use of Information Technology
- Experience building business cases to achieve business goals and manage product cost
- Advanced Excel skills (functions, graphs, pivot charts, vlookup, etc.)
- Ability to work without supervision to lead the development of program plans and schedules for multiple programs concurrently
- Strong facilitation skills and the ability to proactively communicate with all levels of management
- Ability to motivate and influence others, build effective interpersonal relationships, and be able to foster and contribute to a positive and productive team environment
- Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability in work style to better respond to multiple requests and handle sudden changes in priorities
- Ability to embrace and participate in change initiatives
- Excellent follow through and persistence
