CorTech is a service-oriented staffing/recruiting company dedicated to working closely with our clients. We currently are hiring for a Project Engineer in Holdrege, NE.

Mon through Fri ~8am to 5pm (Some flexibility needed)
$51/hour
Monthly Housing Allowance: $1,500/month

The Project Engineer would lead engineering projects to improve plant capabilities through new or improved processes, technology and equipment while also providing engineering and technical support

Requirements:
Bachelor degree in Engineering, (BSME or BSEE preferred)

Desired Experience:
Application of QSR to new and modified operations / procedures
Minimum of two years of engineering experience in manufacturing (preferably medical device manufacturing)
Equipment design experience
Equipment problem solving experience
Equipment installation/debugging experience
Experience conducting validations on equipment

Essential functions include, but are not limited to, the following:
1 . Project Management
a. Lead projects to reduce cost, increase efficiency, improve safety, or improve machine capabilities from conception through to completion b. Manage and coordinate project timelines, team meetings, project reviews, project budgets, equipment installations and validations
c. Effectively communicate project requirements, goals and timelines to plant management
d. Act as a vendor liaison for the purchase, design, fabrication, installation, and validation of custom high speed automation equipment
e. Provide problem solving, cost analysis, testing, validation, design, and equipment repair support.
f. Assist in writing capital requests and developing departmental budgets
2. Engineering Support
a. Brainstorm, research, design and test new processes, technologies and equipment
b. Collaborate on equipment designs with outside vendors and other BD engineers
c. Produce CAD models and prints using AutoCAD, Inventor, and/or SolidWorks software
d. Prepare comprehensive machine specifications for use in the fabrication and purchase of new equipment
e. Create work instruction and quality documentation for new processes and equipment
f. Provide engineering support for production through cost analysis, testing, equipment design, equipment repair and problem solving.
g. Perform acceptance testing for newly purchased equipment
3. General
a. Work to promote a team atmosphere which fosters respect, open communication, and trust
b. Communicate well with other engineers, floor associates, vendors, plant management, and the corporate office
c. Demonstrate attention to detail in both designs and project management
