POSITION SUMMARY: Client is seeking an early career professional for a Project Lead position under the Global Health Operating Division, focused on the administration of global health research grants and contracts. The Project Lead will support projects funded by the National Institutes of Health and other anticipated global health donor organizations, to provide technical project management, grants management, and financial and operational support to ensure the portfolio of projects are administered and implemented in a manner consistent with Client and funder objectives. Position activities include, but are not limited to, project management from concept design, solicitation, review, selection to closeout, subaward management including technical review of proposals and related materials, coordinating the grants management process, understanding and tracking grant restrictions, drafting and reviewing project reports, monitoring and evaluation of projects, and funder relationship management. MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES: Designs and implements project plans using best practices for Project Management (for multiple projects) that may include charters, WBS, statements of work, schedules, deliverables, monitoring and evaluation plans, and project budgets; prepares and submits reports and proposed modifications if necessary Develops budgets and projections, manages sub-award budgets, monitors project/program finances, and monthly spending reports and financial reporting of project expenses upon closeout of the sub-award(s)  Coordinates with grantees to ensure timely and accurate reporting, as well as compliance with grant requirements  Supports program/project to provide high quality deliverables to funding agency relaying timely program developments  Serves as the liaison for internal units (Finance, Operations Support, HR) to execute the project on scope, schedule, and budget  Where applicable, provides logistical support to overseas workshops or conferences under the supervision of the funder  Develops concepts and new project ideas continually and as part of proposal development process  Supports health portfolio team to implement monitoring and evaluation systems to properly document, organize project performance and progress  Liaises with funder routinely and assists with management of funder relationship  Establishes and advances relationships with key stakeholders and grantees to ensure the work of CRDF Global is building on and contributing to key project goals and objectives Represents program or projects at external events domestically and abroad  Supports other programs and staff, as required  Travels within the U.S. and internationally as appropriate  Other duties as assigned  QUALIFICATION SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS:  Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred in International Relations, International Development, or related field  2-3 years professional experience working on USG-funded international programs  Demonstrated knowledge of global health research programs; particularly as it relates to NIH, and US government interests and priorities  Demonstrated ability to create working relationships with international and domestic partners  U.S. work authorization required    Client is an Equal Opportunity Employer (EOE).
