Position:  Project Manager - Program/Location Move REQ ID:  685068 Direct Client : State of Idaho - ID-DHW Job Location: 450 W. State Street, Boise, Idaho 83720 Short Description: The Department of Health and Welfare Licensing and Certification Division is looking for a skilled project manager to ensure a smooth transition for a program moving from one state agency to another. Complete Description: POSITION REQUIRES ONSITE WORK - While some remote work may be allowed, the person needs to be able to be in the office as needed to attend required meetings, participate in whiteboard sessions, discoveries, planning, etc. Travel costs for onsite work will not be covered by the client or CAI, so local candidates will be the best fits for this position.   The PM in this role will develop and manage the plan to move a program from health and welfare to another agency. They'll need to plan out and manage all the logistics, the timeline/schedule, determine technical needs, potential policies and procedures, plan transition of equipment, staff, etc.   Submitted candidates should have experience planning and managing an office/agency/program's physical move from one location to another.. An ideal candidate will also be highly organized and strategic in developing a path for this transition and executing that plan.   Candidates will be expected to work with leadership and teams in both agencies and present progress reports on a regular basis. This transition includes both technical (e.g. supporting IT systems, computers) and non-technical (e.g. people, processes, policies).   Job description: • Lead the transition from beginning to end, identifying schedule, scope, budget, implementation plan, and risk mitigation • Coordinate resources in both agencies and collaborate as needed to ensure buy in • Analyze project progress and adapt when necessary • Establish and maintain relationships and provide updates to appropriate audiences as needed   Specific skills: • 5+ years project management experience, using both traditional and agile project management methods and tools • Strong organizational skills • Strong written and verbal communication skills • Strong attention to deadline and ability to adapt plans • Ability to actively work to expose issues as early as possible and work with Management to resolve • Ability to identify decision-making issues and key stakeholders, develop and implement strategies to encourage and obtain stakeholder and/or community awareness and support, and identify project partners   Preferred qualifications: • Experience working with Idaho state agencies • Experience interpreting and explaining specialized or complex material and turning into information usable by the public     Skill Required / Desired Amount Experience Experience working in a project manager role Required 5 Years   Experience in a PM role specifically planning/managing a physical move from one location to another (office/agency/department, etc) Required     Proficiency in at least one project management software (e.g. Project, Jira, etc.) Required 5 Years   Experience leading a team to define and organize requirements for a project Required 5 Years   Experience working at an Idaho state agency Highly desired     PMP certification Nice to have
