Quality Assurance Technician
Role Summary :
This position within the Quality Department performs final product release of medical devices through the review of the product and key documentation. The role provides feedback to manufacturing on issues seen and reviews corrections made which facilitates continuous improvement of the manufacturing of the medical devices. Further, this role provides administrative support to manufacturing in terms of upholding compliance and archiving quality documentation required both internally within the department and externally.
Responsibilities :
1. Review production documentation and approve the release of product which requires physically walking to the device on the manufacturing floor to tag it
2. QA support generating and providing copies of certificates of quality, as requested
2. Support the timely review and release of product to distribution
3. Communicate with Operations personnel to ensure regulatory and quality requirements are met and understood during routine operations
4. Responding to routine quality related queries from other departments
5. Supporting the ongoing deviation / concession program, checking for product holds as part of review and confirming adequate record completion
Qualifications :
1. High School Diploma/ Certificate or relevant work experience
2. Knowledge of Excel / Word packages
3. Strong verbal and written communication skills
4. Attention to detail
