Associate Scientist In Vivo ImmunologyThis is a six-month temporary position with a possibility for extension. The associate scientist will contribute to discovery of drugs for treating autoimmune diseases. He or she will work independently or under the supervision of a senior scientist to conduct both in vitro and in vivo pharmacological studies to evaluate the pharmacokinetics/pharmacodynamics (PK/PD) and efficacy of drug candidates in relevant assays and in vivo models. This requires the individual to execute studies or coordinate execution of the studies, maintain lab notebooks, analyze and communicate experimental data.Responsibilities1. Performs in vivo studies and in vitro experiments using existing protocols2. Develop novel assays or models in consultation with supervisor based on drug targets of interest3. Maintains electronic laboratory notebook, help write study protocols and reports4. Analyzes and presents experimental data5. Ensures safety and other regulatory compliancesQualifications1. Associate degrees, BSc or MSc with 2-4 years of research experience in Immunology or related areas2. Knowledge and experience with oral, intraperitoneal and intravenous dosing and other in vivo precedures3. Experience with flow cytometry analysis of immune cells from both blood and lymphoid tissues a plus4. Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team5. Ability to use simple statistics to analyze experimental data and record them in electronic lab notebook6. Ability to communicate effectively7. Able to work in the United States legally
