Quality Control Inspector III
Description
Perform inspections on incoming raw materials, subassemblies and finished devices according to written procedures and specifications/engineering drawings. Must be able to work well in team environment and promote Client behaviors (Customer first, Quality and Integrity always, Team up to win, take ownership to deliver fats and Eager to win and Improve).
Essential Functions:
The following is meant to be a representative but not necessarily comprehensive summary of the duties and responsibilities for this position title:
Performs visual, dimensional and functional testing of incoming raw materials, subassemblies and finished devices according to approved procedures and specifications.
Accurately document results of inspection and testing following good documentation practices.
Ensure equipment use are within calibration and preventive maintenance is completed before use.
Ensure First Article is performed on raw materials when applicable.
Perform RMA inspections
Participant in quality audits (internal, FDA, ISO etc)
Initiate NCMR reports on nonconforming material.
Provide input for continuous improvement of inspection procedures, specifications and processes.
Provide support to Manufacturing when required.
Manage quarantine inventory.
Ensure training is current.
Assist in preparing quality records for archiving including scanning.
Perform general housekeeping duties to provide an organized and safe working environment at all times.
Education and/or Experience:
High School diploma or equivalent; associate degree a plus
Minimum 5 years experience in FDA/ISO regulated industries
Experience with ANSI/ASQ Z1.4 and AQL Sampling using C=0 Sampling Plan
Knowledge and operation of precision testing equipment and tools including drop gages, rulers, calipers, video measuring system, microscope etc.
Knowledge of Microsoft word and excel
Good knowledge of GMP and GDP
