One of our client is looking for Quality Engineer in Richfield, MN

Position Summary/Job Description:

The main function of the Front-End Quality Engineer III is to build and automate environments for validation and release sign off. You will be part of a team that builds high quality, scalable front-end components and experiences for the client.com website.

Key position responsibilities include:

  • Deliver high quality digital experience to our customers, through web automation projects.
  • Develop and implement automated test scripts by enhancing the existing / new framework and architecture.
  • Write functional & end-to-end tests using JavaScript technologies, Selenium, etc.
  • Develop reusable utilities and test scripts, which can be shared across the platform
  • Ensure all aspects of the system have adequate testing coverage and manage the overall system reliability, performance and quality of the product
  • Participating in learning communities related to all aspects of the work
  • Use modern technologies to build accessible and innovative testing platform, that could promote software releases more often with higher quality.
  • Document defects effectively and collaborate with engineers and other stake holders, to have them resolved

What are the top five skills and number of years of experience required to perform this job?

  • 5+ years' hands-on experience with web automation using Selenium web driver, Javascript technologies.
  • 3+ years' experience in unit testing tools such as Jasmine, Jest, Mocha/Chai or equivalent framework
  • 1+ years' experience writing visual regression testing scripts using tools such as backstop.js or equivalent framework
  • Advanced beginner to intermediate experience in latest technologies like React.js, Node.js
  • Excellent programming skills in Java, Javascript or related languages, written custom test automation scripts, automation tools and frameworks

What are some preferred/nice to have skills the manager is looking for?

  • Web Automation with responsive websites, preferably eCommerce
  • Working experience with custom CI / CD pipelines. Ex: Jenkins, Circle CI
  • Knowledge of HTML, CSS & UX guidelines
  • Experience using version control systems such as SVN or Git
  • Experience with bug tracking software such as Jira or ClearQuest
  • Respect and Collaborate in a fast-paced environment with different stakeholders including engineers, other QA / QE, product managers, and user experience leads
  • Ability to learn quickly and to adapt to existing / new tools and technologies
