**Day shift (could be 7-3 or 7:30-3:30 or 8-4)**

The QFS (Quality and Food Safety) Specialist is responsible for managing the daily activities of the site’s food safety program.
Provides leadership, support, and guidance to ensure that
-Food Safety/Quality requirements are met.
Manages, plans, implements, and continuously improves the Food Safety/Quality divisional
programs.
-Enforce Quality goals and KPIs, Food Safety/Quality, maintain Food Safety plan, and supports Operations for continuous improvement.
-Ensure the processes and systems are adequate to implement, achieve, and maintain 3rd party certifications
-Oversee usage of and provide support for information technology systems
-Work and communicate with the Plant Manager (dotted line reporting) and Superintendent on any quality problems, or issues that arise.
-Excellent communication, problem solving, and good decision making skills are required.
-Ability to communicate and interact with all levels of the organization, including senior management, customers, and regulatory officials as needed.
-Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to fifty (50) pounds.
