R&D Process Improvement Lead Apply
OVERVIEW:
Client Mobility and materials business is looking for an R&D process improvement leader to drive continuous improvement of our product innovation process. Provide ownership for the execution and improvement of our current R&D processes to drive accountability and prioritization, as well as, streamline and increase process effectiveness. Such processes include New Product Opportunities (NPO), New Raw Material Requests, Product Stewardship & Regulatory (PS&R) reviews and customer sampling, etc. These R&D processes are critical to improve our speed of time to market, regulatory and policy adherence and overall efficiency and growth of our Performance Materials Business.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead the execution and prioritization of the New Product Opportunity Process
- Help define areas of ineffectiveness bottlenecks and gaps for all R&D processes including New Product Opportunities, New Raw Material Requests, etc. and focus on streamlining, and bottleneck/barrier removal
- Develop an improved, faster delivery of customer sampling with current inventories Streamline inventory optimization and sample management process during new product development and qualification
- Respond to changing technology and business needs and ensure flexibility and risk management are built into the processes
- Provide an understanding of R&D processes to users via training, upgrade training packages, etc.
- Collaborate with Business Leadership, R&D Operations team, Process Managers and other functional team members in all regions as appropriate (internal and customers and stakeholders both internal and external)
QUALIFICATIONS:
- BS/MS in Science (chemistry, engineering) with demonstrated in-depth understanding of those principles in a related field
- Experience in Project Management
- Project Management Professional certification is desirable but not required
- Six Sigma training is highly desirable and Black Belt Certification is a plus but not required
- 4+ years business or industry regulatory experience
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong ethics and regulatory compliance awareness
- Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks
- Capacity to work independently, with excellent time management and judgment in task
