We have an exciting opportunity available for an Industrial-Organizational (I-O) Intern working with one of the most respected survey-research firms in the industry. Overall, this person will be involved in the day-to-day support of survey projects.

Internship Duties and Details:

  • Skill Development, in the areas of:
  • Survey research methods
  • Multivariate data analysis
  • Literature review
  • Business and academic writing
  • Presentation skills
  • Project management
  • General business acumen
  • Project Support Duties
  • Conduct SPSS analysis
  • Perform quality assurance
  • Assist in the preparation and conceptualization of Executive Presentations
  • Research Duties
  • Develop in-house training protocols
  • Conduct background research related to attitude surveys and constructs of interest (e.g., Employee Engagement, Corporate Social Responsibility, Employee Life Cycle)
  • Collaborate on SIOP papers and symposia
  • Present on topics of interest at 2 of the consulting meetings
  • Meetings
  • Weekly meeting with mentor
  • Bimonthly team meeting with project team
  • Monthly consultant meetings
  • Mentor
  • Each intern will be paired with a consultant
  • Mentor will be primary contact and responsible for
  • Directing work
  • Providing Mentoring/Training

Student Requirements:

  • Education
  • Ph.D., 2 or more years of study completed
  • Preferable Psychology Major Undergrad
  • At least 1 graduate level Statistics class
  • Skills
  • Excellent written and verbal skills
  • Detailed oriented
  • Skilled in time management and problem solving
  • Ability to work independently and multitask
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Strong team player
  • Professional, On Time and Reliable
  • Writing
  • Literature review
  • Moderate statistics (advanced statistics and SPSS highly desirable)
