Identifying unlicensed software on assets and communicating risk exposure to management in accordance with existing license agreements, the Asset Management Specialist will have the opportunity to help our nation's heroes make a true impact. You'll enter and maintain all required data in the IT Asset Management System in a timely and accurate fashion and administer and/or provide support for Asset Management tools. We'll depend on you to track and analyze data to assist in monitoring the costs associated with software usage, purchases/true-up (reconciliation with licensing agreement) requirements and maintenance. What you'll experience: Technologies that aren't just top-notch, they're often top-secret A team of bold thinkers committed to exploring what's next Opportunities to gain new knowledge - as it's discovered Job Responsibilities: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work and succeed in a fast-paced environment Clear working knowledge of Asset Inventory and Management system, IT asset management processes, and software licensing models, terms and conditions Manage inventory of CIs and assets, including dependencies and attributes, making sure that modifications, withdrawals, and additions of existing ones are correctly recorded by the teams. Ensure effective management of ITAM tools and that the content contained is accurate. Supports audit (internal, external, and self-audits) to demonstrate compliance and assist in the recommendation of how to manage agreements. Supports the creation and maintenance of the IT asset management process. Complies with all applicable business processes. Assists in developing and delivering training and presentations for asset management to ensure compliance of policy and procedures. Collaborate with IT teams to determine trends in asset performance. Take part in various projects, providing support as requested. Ensure effective management of the CMDB and that the content contained is accurate. Provides reporting, metrics, and support for collection of information for budgeting, compliance, and cost comparisons. Provides data analysis for ITAM reports and metrics. Process tickets and queue requests as needed to support the needs of the business. Apply a continuous improvement approach in enhancing ITAM strategies, as well as in tracking company assets within the ITAM tools throughout their lifecycle. Performs other related duties as assigned Supports field research requests from Subject Matter Experts to determine product forecasting  Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Ability to work and succeed in a fast-paced environment Good analytical and problem-solving skills Attention to detail Proficient in Microsoft Office, Advanced Excel knowledge preferred Be motivated to learn independently Works well in a team environment Be effective in verbal and written communications
