<p><strong>IT Solution Architect</strong><br /> <strong>100% Remote</strong><br /> <strong>12 + Months</strong><br /> <br /> This Senior Architect position reports into the IT Engineering department.<br /> The role is responsible for researching, architecting, and building solutions for internal and external clients and customers - it is a "hands on" role as much as it is a pure architectural role.<br /> The primary space for this solution development is in public cloud (AWS, Azure, other), although many solutions will require on premise/hybrid connectivity and linkages.<br /> The role works across several areas of IT to pull together solutions that meet reference architecture standards while utilizing cloud native services and other current technologies.<br /> The role is expected to step into Agile development activities in Engineering as customer demand dictates, and collaborate effectively in Lead-type functions, as needed, with customers and other stakeholders.<br /> <br /> <strong>Responsibilities:</strong><br /> Quickly produce prototypes and PCs of new technology solutions (hands on development and engineering tasks).<br /> Develop and document architecture solutions for internal and external customers.<br /> Facilitate cross team collaboration by working with other IT areas to bring solutions to go live.<br /> Establish standards/bestSpractice in design patterns, code standards and deployments<br /> Work in Agile methodologies and teams<br /> Provide reviews, feedback, and guidance on other solutions, and address questions posed by other development and engineering teams.<br /> Maintain a broad knowledge of new technical tools and trends and apply those tools to improving business processes.<br /> Maintain a broad business understanding including customer and market trends.<br /> <br /> <strong>Required Skills:</strong><br /> 5-7 years of experience in the following:<br /> Development in Python. Typescript, Javascript, Powershell<br /> Unix command line<br /> Infrastructure as code, CloudFormation or similar<br /> Broad use of AWS services including serverless, including CDK<br /> Experience using BOSS, Apache, Tomcat, Windows Server, IIS<br /> Docker experience or equivalent container experience<br /> Working on Agile/Scrum teams, leading architecture discussions, collaboration across multiple teams<br /> Preferred Experience:<br /> Working knowledge of DevOps tool sets, Gitlab, Artifactory, Maven, SonarQube, or similar CI/CD tooling<br /> Working knowledge of Postgress, SQL Server, or similar database platforms.</p>
