Position Description :
ED Behavioral Health

Shift Timings :7:00 PM 7:00 AM

Psych - required
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy - preferred

MUST HAVE AHA BLS

Submission form (first page of packet) MUST show any Crisis training the candidate has

Must be willing to float to the inpatient psych

Psych experience required

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy - preferred
Must be fully covid and flu vaccinated to start NO EXCEPTIONS

General Comments
Unit: Emergency Department Behavioral Health
Specialty: Behavioral Health
Performs direct patient care activities for all age groups to include assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Monitors and coordinates patient care activities with ancillary departments to optimize patient care and comfort. Functions within the scope of nursing preparation and consistent with the established guidelines of nursing practice, the Missouri Nurse Practice Act, client Code of Conduct, client Mission and Values and client Service Standards.
Graduate of a State approved School of Nursing. Possess a current RN licensure with the Missouri State Board of Nursing or current RN Missouri temporary work permit. ETC and Acute Care Center RN's must have a current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider card or complete a course within their probation period. ETC RN's must have a current BLS
Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities: Demonstrated skill in human relations and communications is required. Must have demonstrated clinical expertise in their area of responsibility. Working Conditions,
Mental and Physical Requirements: Stand and walk most of the time on duty. Lift and push patients on stretchers and in wheelchairs. Usually work in a clean, air-conditioned area. Physical demands are attached plus push, pull, and grip up to 50 lbs., pinch up to 15 lbs., kneel, crouch, and crawl minimally.
