Registered nurse - Emergency Dept

3 x 12, 10 am-10 pm
Will also consider 4 x 12, 10 am-10 pm
The Emergency Department Registered Nurse is responsible for providing direct patient care to patients of all ages in a personalized and compassionate manner, while adhering firmly to HIPAA guidelines. The ED nurse is responsible to assess patients; plan and evaluate their care; educate the patient and family as needed; utilize appropriate resources to optimize patient care and patient flow; follow the Medical Center's pain assessment policy by assessing the complaint of pain and assisting with management of pain; participate in the Medical Center's patient safety/risk management program, as well as Quality Improvement. The RN is responsible for directing and overseeing the activities of assistive personnel.

TNCC - required

General Comments
Required education: Graduation from an approved registered nursing program. Required licensure: Current licensure by the Arkansas State Board of Nursing. Required experience: One year RN acute care. New graduates may be considered on an individual basis. Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC. If not ACLS or PALS certified, then certification is required within 6 months of start date. Other: Demonstrates excellent customer service skills. Basic computer skills. Adaptable to change within a highly complex and technical environment. Preferred experience: Critical care/ER experience preferred.
