The candidate is to be able to work with a team that is global, so working hours adjustments to communicate to the program manager in Australia, East Coast US and Europe may be required during the working week.

Job Description

As a Project Manager, the successful candidate will be working with the track Program Managers to deliver successful project outcomes and will be responsible for day-to-day running of the at-least two projects. Effort will be split approximately equally between the two projects but will vary depending on workload and project schedule. Program Managers will co-ordinate to balance the workload appropriately.

Duties will include:

  • Detailed project planning and timeline management, reviewing schedules and reporting status, including gathering input from teams on task requirements and status,
  • Co-ordinating diverse groups across Agilent (e.g. organizing meetings, taking minutes and following up on action items),
  • Scheduling and logistics for customer meetings,
  • Communicating with stakeholders (e.g. progress reports & updates),
  • Providing assessments of project risks and mitigations, troubleshooting ad hoc project issues

Skills / Qualifications:

  • Experience leading complex, cross-disciplinary projects in areas such as IT, Marketing, New Product Development or Operations,
    • Formal project management qualifications such as PMI PMP would be well-regarded
  • Ability to work with team members across time zones and functions; flexibility in meeting times will be important as key members will be in the US, Europe and Asia-Pacific (Australia)
  • Understanding of business-to-business commercial processes, including sales, quoting and order fulfilment.
  • Ability to work effectively with customers and end-users
