Troubleshoot and repair industrial mechanical, electrical equipment. Clean equipment, use high-pressure steam cleaning equipment, remove burrs, wrap, paint and protect finished parts using a variety of hand tools. Operate a gantry crane using proper straps, chains, eyebolts, lift rings, and other lifting devices. Rebuild repaired equipment from drawings and prints. Identify different types of tooling and use it in its proper application. May require forklift license. Requirements include basic math skills, reading of schematics and/or simple technical diagrams, use of measuring tools such as micrometers, knowledge of painting processes and the ability to respond in emergency situations.
