Job Description 


1. Respiratory Therapist works under the direction of the Director of Acute Care Services

2. Responsible as directed in formulation of policies and procedures

3. Responsible as directed in quality improvement and activities

4. Collaborative participation

5. Preceptor role for fellow practitioners as directed within the area of specialty

6. Assist with clinical based research projects in relation to the delivery of respiratory care

7. Delivery of respiratory care to the patient population with advance practitioner skills and knowledge.

8. General and high level patient care assignments


Qualifications


1. Graduate with certificate of completion of an AMA accredited program in Respiratory Care.

2. Registry with the National Board of Respiratory Care as a Registered Respiratory Therapist.

3. Licensed in the State of Illinois- Respiratory Care Practitioner

4. CPR, ACLS, PALS certification- AHA

5. Neonational Support certification.

Shift: 12 hour nights
