Title: SAP GTS Lead Consultant

Location: Hartford, CT (Remote right now)

Duration: 6-12 months+

Job Description:

Key Objectives:

  • To be part of the initial project delivery team in order to architect the solution design and de-risk the SAP GTS project.
  • Analysis of business requirements, work alongside SAP on system design.
  • Design and implementation of full SAP GTS solutions.
  • Identify integration issues and develop solutions to these issues.
  • Coach and develop skills within a project team.
  • Work effectively in mixed Client and Consultancy teams.

Skills/Knowledge/Experience:

  • Extensive knowledge of SAP GTS specifically
  • Restricted-party screening
  • Export management
  • Import management
  • Multiple implementation experience with SAP GTS
  • Extensive SAP implementation experience.
  • Strong client facing Consultancy experience.
  • Minimum of 4 project life cycle implementations.
  • Language skills or project experience outside the US or UK Essential.
  • Experience with Global Multinational Organizations and Global Rollouts Desirable.

Competencies: Core Skills:

  • Bright, ability to rapidly pick-up new technologies, existing templates and business areas.
  • Outcome oriented maximizing balance of effort vs benefit to achieve objectives.
  • Demonstrates excellent communication skills both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to work under own initiative and under tight time pressures - planning, prioritizing and controlling own workload.
  • Demonstrates excellent communication skills both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to assert own ideas to clients and within HCL senior management.
  • Is able to give strong coaching and feedback where needed to HCL or client team members.
  • Can contribute to a mixed workshop process.

  • Ability to showcase SAP GTS functionalities and highlight business benefits specifically
  • Restricted-party screening
  • Export management
  • Import management
  • Mobilize and motivate a project team.
  • Ability to organize and co-ordinate diverse groups in complex situations.
  • Broad content experience across multiple lines of business.
  • Broad technical appreciation including ALL key SAP functionality and technology. With ability to rapidly assess new technology solutions.
  • Lead functional / technical architecture in complex SAP and non-SAP environments.
  • Support the Program Director to develop phasing strategy, plans, benefits case, org structures, risks and issues
  • Manages design workshops on multiple area of expertise.
