Seeking a SAP Project Manager for a 6+ months duration contract with a well-established client in Las Vegas, NV.

Position Description

SAP's Project Portfolio Management solution.
We are planning to initially implement this solution for public sector 's Public Works Department (PUBLIC WORKS) and position ourselves to potentially rollout to other departments in the future.

Major Areas of Responsibility:

We are seeking help to plan, coordinate and implement PPM according to our previously defined Business Requirements document to meet PUBLIC WORKS' organizational objectives as outlined and summarized below:

Requirements:

The ideal candidate(s) would have the following Knowledge, Skills, Ability and Experience:

The candidate(s) must have a proven functional background, with at least three years of experience gathering requirements, implementing and/or supporting SAP Project Portfolio Management module;

The candidate(s) must have completed more than one implementation of Project Systems, FICO, HCM or CATS integration with PPM;

Ideally candidate(s) should have completed an implementation from an outside database into SAPPPM;

Have good SAP project management skills and experience following SAP Best Practices;

Public sector experience;

Identifying hands-on activities as related to Project and Project Portfolio integration and/or touch points (i.
e.
BW, HCM, CATS etc.
);

Bringing best practice approaches for the customer to consider in a variety of areas including transport, testing, design, prototyping, training, defining support requirements and procedures, etc.

Ability to develop Project Plans, Status Reports, Specification Documents, Test Scripts, Security requests including the ability to conduct related research and work with the Team to discuss possible options;

Experience with writing related customer documentation to be used for future reference;

Experience with table transmittal from PPM to Crystal Reports;

Good communication skills (written and verbal);

Team player;

Speak and write in English well;

Ability to plan and organize work and responsibilities; and

Good facilitation skills.

Professional Services Work to Include:

Coordinate and facilitate the implementation of the PPM system according to the pre-defined Business Requirements according to the specific business requirements and critical activities that must be performed to meet PUBLIC WORKS' organizational objectives.

Key/critical project milestones, durations, and status

Overall project duration

Key tasks completed in the previous week

Key tasks to be completed in the coming week with status levels for each task

Overall project status

Risks, roadblocks, and mitigations

Must include:

Weekly Project Progress/Status Reports to be provided to management and PUBLIC WORKS

Must include:

Technical Specification document using the defined template

Functional Specification document using the defined template

Desk Procedure document for end users using ERP provided sample

Determine, request, and test new roles from security

Set up Sandbox (Prototype) with the oversight of ERP analyst and answering any BASIS related questions on standing up the system.

A configuration and setup runbook of repeatable steps to be developed and reviewed by ERP team.
Runbook finalized after QA configuration and setup for implementation into Production environment.

Review set up of Development system conducted by ERP analyst

Develop and implement process for data to be sent from PPM to Crystal Reports using one of the methods outlined in the Scope of Work.
Must provide full support including installation of connection tools and configuring connections.

Development of lookup tables for various data fields as well as integration into the PPM screens

Development of data migration tool, migration process and field mapping

Development of Test Scripts using the defined template and writing for the inclusion into the Component Based Test Automation (CBTA) system.

Assist in the oversite and management of Unit and User Acceptance testing including the collection and consolidation of all testing documentation and business sign offs to meet the change management requirements

Implementation & Data Migration to include the migration of data from the GUS Access database into PPM based on PUBLIC WORKS migration selection criteria.

Post Go Live Support for a period of 4 weeks

The targeted start date is the week of May 10th, 2021.

All candidates must be legally eligible to work for any employer in the United States without sponsorship or a third party employer.
