JOB DESCRIPTION :
Supply Chain / Logistics professional with strong focus and experience on shipping activities.
Assume full or partial responsibility for all inbound shipping activities as defined: Knowledge of logistics, packaging, rigging, and any other aspect of shipping needed. Set up LTL or FTL shipments with core carriers, completes all shipping documentation and records transactions. Multi-modal transportation experience: Vessel, air, and truck. Routing guide updating and evaluation. ECC export compliance coordinator, tracking, record keeping/reporting, and other duties as requested. Defines and documents current shipping processes. International shipping experiences for small, medium, and large shipment a plus. Ability to self-start and follow through with initiatives and tasks. Ability to prioritize shipping schedules along with related daily requirements for the shipping department. Establish and carry out a solid claim management process with logistics providers, as needed. Five (5) years shipping experience.

Other tasks for the position include, but are not limited to:

• Analyzes and constantly optimizes the organization´s processes to enhance performance
• Establishes, monitors, updates, and benchmarks metrics, and derives and proposes measures to improve
• Provides analyses as required by Supply Chain Management
• Proposes and takes over responsibility for defined and assigned improvement projects
• Initiates and implements supplier improvement programs
• Establishes operational vendor relations, identifies and resolves vendor conflicts
• Establishes SCM oriented customer relations in order to meet customer expectations
• Cooperates with the internal Procurement, Controlling and Logistics functions to ensure acceptance of and adherence to SC processes, guidelines, and tools
• Communicates with external auditors in accordance with the superior
• Contributes to projects, work groups and the training of new employees in the area of expertise
