Our client is seeking a Senior Database Developer/Engineer to provide Clinical Data solutions for Health Care informatics efforts as part of that team that designs, develops, and delivers a large-scale Data Mart solution. We are looking for highly motivated professionals with strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills who is interested in a multi-year position. Position Overview: This is a hands-on position in which the Senior SQL Developer/Engineer is responsible for developing, documenting, and enhancing database releases, processes, and procedures. Applicants should be able to track project deliverables and manage the choreography of dry runs and releases. This resource must demonstrate attention to details, time management, accuracy, and sound communication skills. She/he will be required to collaborate and communicate effectively in a team environment, as well as work and think independently, and should be able to function equally well as an individual contributor and team member.   Responsibilities: Provide hands-on expertise for CI and CD processes and procedures. Collaborate closely with the database team, database administrator, and applications release team to build and release database codes for dry runs and release platforms. Work with the TTG Release teams to ensure all release requirements and standards are followed. Document the present best practice strategies to ensure near-term changes are aligned with long-term release objectives. Ensure established code branching standards and procedures are followed. Collaborate with infrastructure and other application teams on software upgrades, disaster recovery and other efforts. Troubleshoot database build and deployment problems, suggest improvements and technical solutions. An interest in staying updated with latest advancements in technology. Develop custom tools and automation using PowerShell, SQL scripts as necessary. Review database deployment and migration scripts. Skills and Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field. Minimum of 5 years of experience as SQL Server database developer and release engineer. In-depth understanding and experience with Git, shell scripting and PowerShell Scripting. Experience with Red Gate tools such as SQL Compare, SQL Data Compare and SQL Source Control or similar competitive products. Solid understanding and working experience of CI tools like Jenkins, TeamCity etc. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Full understanding of Software Development Lifecycle and DevOps best practices. Knowledge in Docker concepts. Self-motivated, team player, action-and-results oriented with the ability to successfully deliver under tight project deadlines. Preferred Qualifications Master's Degree Experience in the Healthcare domain or other industries that handle data with compliance guidelines.
