JOB TITLE:

Salesforce Architect

JOB TYPE:

JOB SKILLS:

JOB LOCATION:

San Francisco California / United States

JOB DESCRIPTION:

This position will start out remotely but client will eventually be seeking someone onsite once Covid restrictions are lifted. This is a 12 month contract.

Job Description:

Project to re-implement a 3rd-party data collection and reporting system on Salesforce. The system will utilize a Community to allow use by non-Salesforce (license) users. Project position is expected to last 1 year. A Human Services Administration project manager will be responsible to create application requirements. The architect/designer will be responsible for translating these into a salesforce object data structure, an appropriate set of salesforce tools (process builder, flow, apex, etc.) to be used, and the business-rule logic to be implemented.

Architect/Designer Project Tasks
The Architect/Designer shall be responsible for taking these high-level designs and documenting them in a manner that a less-experienced developer can then implement.

  1. The Architect/Designer will also be responsible for implementation. This includes thorough unit tests and application testing.
  2. The architect/designer will be responsible for providing documentation, training and transition, to the satisfaction of the full-time staff, such that staff can take over ongoing use, maintenance, and enhancement of the codebase after the project has been completed.

Architect/Designer Deliverables #1

  1. Design of the data model for the system
  2. Salesforce Declarative configuration and "clicks-not-code" development tools shall be used where possible. Apex and Lightning components to be used or created when needed.
  3. Goal will be to use default Salesforce UI elements, customizing and coding only where required. Implementation style shall have a goal of long-term maintenance by individuals not involved in the initial development; therefore clear coding and documentation are required.
  4. In some cases, org-to-org data extraction may be used to import 3rd-party data, where those 3rd parties already have their own Salesforce implementation.
  5. Unit tests shall be created for both Apex as well as clicks-not-code business logic.
  6. Full technical documentation of the system
