Qualifications:
MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED • High School diploma or GED from an accredited institution. • Skilled in the basic use of MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook. • Strong Organizational skills and time management. • Willingness to continue to learn and desire to meet World Class metrics. PREFERRED OR DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS • Previous work experience in Lean Principles or WCM (World Class Manufacturing) is a plus, but not required. • Advanced computer skills; Microsoft and SAP, or a proven ability to learn new platforms. • Strong communication skills; ability to communicate professionally with customers, peers and managers. • Desire to work in, and foster, a team environment. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY • None PHYSICAL DEMANDS • Must be capable of wearing personal protective equipment necessary to comply with government and company safety standards. • Job includes tasks that require walking, bending, twisting, gripping, stair and ladder climbing, and entering confined spaces. • Must be capable of lifting up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities:
POSITION SUMMARY Reporting to the Sample shop lead, the Associate is accountable for ensuring that Order picking, small package shipping, inventory, and warehousing of all samples is performed and in alignment with Divisional, Plan & Department goals and objectives, Safety standards, World Class Manufacturing (WCM) standards, and Key Performance Indicators (KPI). ESSENTIAL DUTIES • Safety o Follows all safety rules and policies. o Ensures activity is in accordance to rules and policies. o Continuously evaluates workplace for safety concerns and ensures behavioral safety initiatives are performed to goal levels. o Monthly STOP audits required. • Quality o Follows all standard operating procedures (SOPs) applicable to the position. o Continually monitors sample products to detect and resolve issues utilizing WCM/Lean tools. • Production Processes and Housekeeping o Accurately process customer’s orders in efficient manner to exceed customer expectations. On-time delivery, picking and boxing orders for small package shipments. o Assist lead with managing and producing vendor samples and suspension system inventory. o Maintains multiple sample product inventories accurately. o Assists as needed to manufacture samples from core material using panel saw, shrink tunnel, shrink wrapper. o Aids in minimizing/elimination of process wastes, using recycle processes. o Maintain good housekeeping as established by Office Duty Sheets and identifies gaps and areas for improvement. o Exercises good judgment and involvement in achieving shared goals and objectives. Must work well independently and as part of a team. • Equipment o Maintain Sample shop office equipment with established daily, weekly & monthly best practices. Sustaining a clean organized work area. o Maintains tools and equipment in good working condition. OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES • Performs other related duties and responsibilities as needed and / or requested by management. • Flexible, open minded team player. • Provides coverage for time off for the Sample Coordinator and assist in peak periods.

Hi - We are looking for a cross functional individual to join a small independent team within the manufacturing facility. This team is responsible for creating and maintaining the CertainTeed Ceiling sample warehouse. This position requires manufacturing, date entry, computer skills, customer contact, mailing/shipping.
