Job Summary:
Swenson seeks a talented individual to join its finance team and grow within the company. This role can lead to future opportunities within the company. The position will report directly to the Controller. The successful candidate will be responsible for accounts receivable/collections, cash management/forecasting, financial reporting and operations for branch upfitting segment, inter company, transactions and reconcilation, physical inventory and financial analysis. This position requires the ability to work independently and proactively to identify and resolve issues.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain accounts receivable, manage credit applications, and perform collections activities
- Prepare cash forecasts and merchant card
- Monthly preparation of journal entries and financial statements
- Proficiency in fast-close monthly close process ensuring accurate and timely financial information according to company policies and processes
- Explain and report deviations from budget and forecast
- Support preparation of Management reports
- Assist with updating and maintaining standard cost system
- Coordinate annual physical inventory and cycle counts, reconciliation and reporting of results including auditor management
- Manage and coordinate annual financial audit
- Support regulatory and income tax reporting requirements
- Assist in preparation and monitoring of budgets and forecasts
- Support human resources reporting requirements to include backup for payroll preparation
- Drive financial and operational process improvement plans and design, test, and implement improvements to ERP system
- Ability to analyze complex information and present the findings in a simple manner, conveying an understanding of the business
