ROLE DESCRIPTION
Researches, plans and evaluates the effectiveness of processes, systems, procedures or methodologies through review and evaluation of detailed data. A developing professional, working towards full proficiency in the job role. Receives general instruction from manager on expected work outcomes and exercises good judgment in day-to-day matters. Typically reports to a Manager or Senior Manager, but may report to a senior professional individual contributor when business needs dictate.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience required, plus 3 to 5 years of related experience.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The Analyst, Business Applications Sr. is responsible for analyzing existing customer business process workflow associated with key business applications, identifying process inefficiencies and architecting solutions designed to improve process workflow. Through their efforts, the Business Analyst consults with key personnel from the customer including line of business owners, IT application owners, and IT infrastructure personnel as well as resources within Canon including Project Management, Solutions Consulting and Software Engineering. Analyzes complex business problems to be solved with automated systems. Provides technical expertise in identifying, evaluating and developing systems and procedures that are cost effective and meet user requirements.

• Leads the analysis, research and support with the development of new business process, new application systems, and software support and applications maintenance in order to create and implement new solutions.
• Collect and analyze business requirements for large, multi-functional projects. Gathers information on projects or groups to be supported, provided analysis on processes and applications, and makes recommendations for internal or external software process development. Interviews end users, management and customers to provide an accurate analysis of the business flow and develop and document the scope of the project. Perform feasibility studies, translating requirements into appropriate design.
• Responsible for management and staff development of staff analysts in accordance with Company policy and applicable laws. Accountable for hiring, performance management, compensation and motivation, training and problem solving associated with direct reports.
• Provides end user training, develops process instructions, and assists in the development of users system documentation. Position will work with all of the end users ensuring appropriate training and support to maintain business work flow and operating systems integrity.
• Provides project/change management skills for supporting business and system process re-engineering.
• Evaluate application software packages and make recommendations to management.
• Provides documentation skill, communication skill and presentation skill to expedite new business process and new business applications implementation.
• Must remain informed of existing and evolving industry standard and technologies by developing relationship with vendor, consultants, and professional associates.

CERTIFICATION(S) & LICENSE(S) (if applicable)
CBAB preferred but not required.

OTHER EXPECTATIONS (including field of education, motor vehicle, travel, OT)
ECM experience is also a preferred but not required.

• Significant experience in having analyzed and architected business process workflow activities for customer in either horizontal or vertical business applications.
• Detailed knowledge in technology with specific background in general IT applications and infrastructure as well as effective methodology for driving workflow in key business applications/processes.

• Proven success as a Business Analyst and ability to manage multiple projects of various sizes simultaneously.
• Proficient in IT technologies and in communicating technically with client IT professionals.
• Balance between technical and people skills
• Proactive and self-motivated
• Proven ability to provide excellent client services
• Plan schedule and track project timelines and milestones
