The candidate must have good communication skills and be able to work with other engineering disciplines, sometimes across multiple offices.</p> <p><br /> <b>Responsibilities:</b></p> <p> </p> <ul> <li>Responsible for producing technical plans, specifications, drawings, and models that meet our specifications and client needs.</li> <li>Perform electrical design functions and calculations in branch circuit design, motor feeder design, sizing of over current protection, raceway fill, as well as other aspects of compliant electrical code designs with direction from lead engineer or designers.</li> <li>Applies standard design techniques and procedures and exercising judgment in making minor adaptations and modifications to design concepts.</li> <li>Receives instructions on specific assignment objectives, complex features, and assistance in deriving possible solutions to unusual problems.</li> <li>Will work with other Designers and Engineers on primary and secondary (Low voltage) normal power distribution systems, emergency power distribution systems, uninterruptible power supplies (UPS) and<br /> associated power distribution systems with emphasis on facility redundancy and reliability.</li> <li>Perform all appropriate calculations (e.g. distribution panel loading, short circuit, voltage drop, conduit & conductor size, and cable tray fill) required for the electrical design packages.</li> <li>Checks design calculations and drawings verifying all applicable codes have been incorporated.</li> <li>Coordinate needs and develops an understanding with other design disciplines (Mechanical, Structural, Architectural) for design package needs.</li> <li>Ensure quality control by complying with team design and CAD standards.</li> <li>Attend construction meetings and field observations of site and cleanroom environments to verify existing conditions and incorporate findings into design packages.
