Job Title: Senior Network Architect
Location: New York City, NY
Duration: 11 Months Contract or Full Time with Client
Job Description: - The engineer will be responsible for evaluating, engineering, designing and troubleshooting enterprise scale LAN/WAN and Wireless Campus/Branch Networks. As part of the Network Engineering team the engineer is required to collaborate with the Enterprise Computing team, Security team and End-User technologies to understand the applications and provide end to end network solution as per the firm network standards. This includes selecting the right platforms, develop Bill of Material (BoM), designing new network topologies, create and maintain visio diagrams, configuration templates, IP addressing and would also create the low-level design documents that contains all the switching/routing details, migration steps, Bandwidth Analysis etc. required for implementing the design.
Apart from extensive knowledge in networking and security technologies hands on experience with any of advanced technologies such as SDWAN, SD Access, network virtualization, cloud connectivity is desired. Strong security focus and experience with Network Security Concepts and Multi-tier Security architectures.
Skills required:
- The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of experience with a technology vendor or systems integrator designing, and implementing the following Data Networking Products and technologies
- Cloud and Automation skill set (Ansible)
- Good handle on routing and switching
- Hands on experience with Network Automation tools such as Ansible, DNAc, NSO, CrossWorks etc.
- Hands on experience with Python, Bash
- Good knowledge of encryption protocols such as IPsec, TLS
- Experience with cloud integration (AWS, Azure)
- Experience with Wireless, WAN acceleration, Cisco ISE, Aruba ClearPass is an advantage
