Senior Staff Accountant - Corp Office (ONSITE) Apply
JOB SUMMARY (Primary purpose of the position.)
Responsible for the general accounting functions for the Operations and Service Lines Group (OSG) that includes processing and preparing accounting data. This position is also responsible for formulating and analyzing various operations and financial reports for OSG Service Lines. This includes but is not limited to the OSG Group Office, Behavioral Health, Post-Acute, PPR/Physician Sales, National Transfer Centers, and Telehealth.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES (The essential responsibilities and accountabilities of this position including interactions with other departments and outside vendors, if applicable, in PRIORITY order.)
Responsible for direct accounting responsibility for OSG ledgers that includes monthly journal entries, analysis and balance sheet reconciliations. Additionally, creating and allocating OSG LOB expense to the field.
Prepares and analyzes monthly OSG service line data from multiple sources and compiles into meaningful reports, identifying trends and creating OSG service line’s presentations.
Contributes to the development, testing and implementation of financial data collection and measurement tools, while identifying and creating automation opportunities that increases reporting efficiencies.
Creates weekly OSG service line forecasting
Assists with SOX audits and testing
Assists in budget preparation
Assists in cost report preparation
Assists in tax work paper and audit paperwork preparation
Maintaining the Capital Equipment Database (FAS)
Prepare monthly reconciliation of Balance Sheet accounts including documentation to support balances
Create financial analyses and ad hoc reporting that supports OSG service lines long and short-term strategic projects.
Engages in decision-making where changes in operational processes will have data and/or reporting implications.
Maintain daily reporting systems.
Ensures that privileged and proprietary information is safe guarded against disclosure.

SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS (Required licenses, certificates, specific skills, personal traits,; e.g., RN, CPA, able to type 90 wpm, detail orientation.)
Knowledge of data collection techniques and interpretation. Can navigate HCA’s financial and analytical reporting systems. Knowledge of descriptive statistics to analyze statistical data and prepare estimates. Skill in examining documents, reports and stats for accuracy and interpreting the accuracy.
Candidate must be proficient in Microsoft Office products and communicate clearly and concisely both verbally and in writing.

Requires extended hours working at a PC; candidate must perform well under tight deadlines.
