System Administrator, to their metro Portland, OR location.

Sr.
System Administrator Job Summary:

As a Senior System Administrator, you will be responsible for the daily operations and monitoring of our client's corporate IT infrastructure in support of all their end-users.
This role will ensure smooth running of our client's networking and server systems, while maintaining a high level of security.

Responsibilities of a Sr.
System Administrator:

• Helps with preventative maintenance tasks and updates on our client's Windows IT hardware and software systems.
  
• Collaboratively manages, maintains, and updates Microsoft Active Directory, WSUS, Exchange infrastructure.
  
• Helps maintain computer hardware (peripheral devices) and networking equipment.
  
• Administers and ensures routine maintenance and updates to all IT systems and infrastructure.
  
• Will help support network security protocol.
  
• Helps install, configure, and maintain monitoring and security tools.
  
• Troubleshoot IT related problems, both Hardware and Software
• Help to maintain our client's networking infrastructure, remote sites, and mobile devices.
  
• Maintain and configure firewall appliances, antivirus and other security tools and monitors audit logs to detect suspicious activity.
  
• Conducts network vulnerability scans to ensure secure operations.
  
• Provides after hours support for planned maintenance.
  

Requirements of a Sr.
System Administrator:

• Onsite 5 days a week in Portland, OR metro office.
  
• Minimum of 5+ years' Systems Administration experience in a corporate environment.
  
• Minimum 3 years' windows server experience.
  
• Bachelor's Degree in computer sciences, computer engineering, information systems or related field preferred.
  
• CCNA Certification or similar (preferred, but not required).
  
• Experience performing preventative maintenance and updates of hardware and software.
  
• Ability to update and maintain computer hardware.
  
• Experience troubleshooting network issues/problems.
  
• Demonstrated knowledge of networking concepts and protocols such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP VLANs and various network monitoring tools.
  
• Ability to communicate technical information effectively to both technical and non-technical personnel.
  
• Windows/Linux server experience
• Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism.
