Position: Documentation Specialist REQ ID:  57000 Direct Client :  State of Georgia -  APS – IT   Job Location:  130 Trinity Ave SW 5th Floor Atlanta, Georgia 30303-0000   Purpose:   The Atlanta Public School System is seeking the services of a Documentation Specialist to support the APS IT Security & Network Services team. Summary: As part of the Security & Network Services team, the Documentation Specialist will review vendor contracts to ensure the proper security documentation has been provided for audit and compliance purposes. Work collaboratively with the IT PMO and Purchasing Departments to document 3rd party processes and procedures.  Scope of Work/Key Responsibilities:   Maintain and monitor contract files to ensure compliance with district security policies. Work collaboratively with APS project managers, develop, monitor, and update information assurance related documents, project plans, and other related documentations. Prepare and provide progress reports, trending charts, and other requested reports on a periodic basis. Document security SOPs to manage risk, with a mindset of continuous process improvement. Work cross-functionally within APS and with outside vendors to coordinate updates to technology contracts to meet current and long-term business needs. Other duties as assigned.  Contract Duration:   3 months (initial) Option to extend - based on performance.  Skills and Qualifications:     Strong analytical, critical thinking and communication skills needed to create instructions, respond to inquiries, and relay instructions to others. Must have clean criminal record with the ability to pass finger-print background check Must be authorized to work in the United States. Proficiency with Microsoft O365 Experience with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Word, and SharePoint is desired Candidate must display excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills. Must hold a valid driver's license.   Personal Attributes: Creativity and strong attention to detail Ability to work effectively on tight deadlines, as necessary Excellent command of English language Oral and written communication skills Exceptional customer service skills, including the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of customers   Work: This work will be completed on-site at the Atlanta Public Schools central office in the downtown Atlanta area. The analyst would need to work M, T, W, TH, F (typically 8am – 5pm).   Leadership: The Documentation Specialist will report to the Director of Security & Network Services.
