Job Title: UI/UX Developer
Location: Houston Texas-Remote
Job Summary:
UX/UI Developer will develop user interface for websites including mobile from ground up. Developer who understands the intricacies of cross-browser development and knows how to build simple interfaces by writing maintainable HTML, CSS and advanced JavaScript. The UI/UX developer will work with UX/UI designers, IT, Marketing, Conversion and other digital stakeholders to provide ease of use within a complex web application, suggest tools that refine the experience based on the stated goals, and create unique answers to difficult problems.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
-Develop mobile and cross-browser compatible responsive front-end interfaces using ----
- HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript and JQuery as well as frameworks like bootstrap or Foundation.
- Hands on experience with AngularJS, Node.js, AJAX, REST, JSON, and XML.
-Good understanding of page speed optimization principles and tools.
- Extensive experience in using UX best practices to design and develop solutions, and a deep understanding of mobile-first and responsive design.
- As project evolves, the UX Developer will design, code the markup, conduct user testing, and perform other user-facing activities to validate the design, and interaction.
- Lead new user interface designs through the full design and development cycle (including concepts, information architecture, visual design and interaction design)
- Create and apply brand frameworks within product lines and across the entire portfolio, ensuring a cohesive brand experience for customers.
- Create, maintain and improve a Standard Style guide and interaction pattern library for the team.
- Know your way around project management, including juggling multiple parts of a project and keeping up to date with all the moving parts.
- Collaborate with teams across the organization and the company to ensure we maintain industry leadership, and deliver innovative and exciting designs that meet Company's business goals.
- Ensure site architecture and site optimization strategy keep pace with evolving practices.
- Minimum Requirements:
Expert literacy in front end development (particularly around responsive design, designing across multiple channels and browser types) is preferred.
- Strong vision for mobile Internet consumer products, clear understanding of usability, user-centered design, accessibility and web standards.
- Writing standards-compliant front-end code for websites, web applications, and mobile solutions using HTML, CSS and JavaScript.
- Practical exposure and/or experience with AngularJS, jQuery, JSON, AJAX.
- Familiarity with code versioning systems (SVN, GIT)
- Familiarity with agile methodology and Scrum.
- Solid understanding of user-centered design principles.
- Expertise with cross-browser, cross-platform, and design constraints on the web.
- Excellent communication skills (you should be able to clearly articulate your design/coding decisions).
- Experience with best practices in Web design.
- Experience working in cross functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications:-
-Strong portfolio of work showing experience developing standards-compliant front-end code for marketing websites, web applications, and/or mobile experiences
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in related field.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and/or equivalent work experience
