Our client is looking for a sheet metal fabrication Level 2 to join their team in South Burlington. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30p.m.Pay Rate is $20-$22 per hour based on experience. This position requires periodic off hours and weekend work.Summary/Objective:This position is responsible for all aspects of sheet metal fabrication and the manufacturing of enclosures and panels from raw materials.Job Description:* This position works in a manufacturing production environment. * This role routinely uses standard personal protective equipment such as required Safety Glasses and Safety shoes as well as hearing protection and gloves, as required.* Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.* Constantly move objects and use abdominal and lower back muscles to provide support over time without fatigue. * Specific abilities required by the job include positioning oneself to lift ormove objects weighing to 40 pounds, pushing and pulling objects with up to 200 pounds.* Constant movement and use of limbs. Specific abilities required by this job include prolonged standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, climbing and frequently pinching and/or gripping.* Frequently observe, detect, discern, and convey information. Specific abilities required by this job include near, far and color vision acuity, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.* Requires good manual dexterity and coordination, and stamina. Specific abilities required by this job include the frequent requirement of overtime work.Essential Functions: * Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.* Perform all functions of the lower level positions in Sheet Metal.* Over all safety and plant regulations and report violations immediately.* Weld frames from tube and angle stock, cut and bend flat steel, and punch and drill according to drawings.* Square and weld frames, c-posts, internal brackets and hang doors.* Bend flat steel sheets.* Punch according to drawings.* Figure cut sizes.* Assist other areas with welding and plasma torch work.* Weld steel with the highest quality.* Answer questions and assist all level “3” employees.* Ensure quality of finished product leaving the area and that all inspection and quality sheets are complete.* Keep area organized and clean.Skills: * Structural Carbon Steel - MIG * Structural Stainless Steel - MIG* Non-structural Sheet Metal – MIG* Standard for Welding Procedure and Performance Qualification - TIG* Ability to read and interpret engineering prints and parts list.* Ability to visualize final product and infer assembly detail from engineering documentation.* Ability to read and interpret various measuring instruments.* Ability to organize own work and work area of employees.* Possess good interpersonal skills.* Perform all skills outlined in the “Computer Skills” document (Document A).Education and Experience:* High school diploma or equivalent experience.* Welding and sheet metal experience required.Please apply today for an interview with Hillary.
