POSITION OVERVIEW:
Directs and tracks the day to day flow of work thru the department in an efficient and safe manner by performing the following duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Receive cuts sheets or list of orders currently in production.
Print all production orders, labels and bills of lading.
Prioritize and distribute production orders to correct department(s) for shipping.
Complete bill of lading(s) for shipping LTL or direct haul.
Match trailer logs to bill of lading(s) daily.
Complete and turn-in leadperson issues report.
Complete weekly 6S audits.
Other duties may be assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty of Class A Shipper as well as those of leadperson satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school education preferred. At least one year of shipping experience is preferred.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS None required.
COMPUTER SKILLS
Basic personal computer skills preferred using MS Windows and shipping software. OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Attendance is an essential job requirement defined as having regular, consistent, reliable, punctual and predictable attendance including the ability to work regular hours and shifts, overtime before and after shifts and on weekends as required by union contract. Ability to work as part of a team, including all related departments/plants or independently as required to achieve internal and external customer satisfaction.
