Shipping Operator - HI Apply
Qualifications:
• High School diploma • Ability to work in a team based environment with little to no supervision • Ability to clearly communicate both verbally and in writing • Reliable with good attendance Preferred: • Manufacturing experience in a team based environment • Familiarity with Safety Programs in a manufacturing facility
Responsibilities:
Operating Forklift Truck (On-site Training Provided) • Moving Wooden Pallets / Metal Trash Hoppers / Finished Product Board / Scrap Board / Dunnage Board • Removing Finished Product Board from Warehouse and Loading it onto Rail Car or Flatbed Truck • Will be assisted by veteran Team Members of the CertainTeed group Operating Dunnage Machine (On-site Training Provided) • Loading Board on Dunnage Machine via Forklift Lift Truck • Monitor Equipment for any issues • Unload Completed Dunnage Cubes via Forklift Truck • Lock Out on Equipment to Clear Board (LOTO Training Provided) • Performs bagging of product for rail car deliveries. • Safely lifts wallboard, raw materials, and equipment as needed to perform duties. • Able to lift 50 lbs. – Dunnage Sticks approx. 20-25 lbs. / Large Bag Roll approx.. 50 lbs. ( 2 Person Task) • Covering board with Large Bags with help of a second person • Stapling Bag to Boards after covering • Marking Board Type on Bags with Product Name – Product List Provided • Cleaning of Areas – Sweep or Vacuum EQUIPMENT TO BE USED: • Forklift • Dunnage machine • Standard PPE – Gloves Required • Manual Staple Gun – Single Hand Version • Hand Tool to hold Bag flush while Stapling • Push Broom, Hand Broom, Shovel, Vacuum, Etc. WORKING CONDITIONS / PHYSICAL DEMANDS: • Must be able to work in a plant environment, which includes hot, cold conditions and climbing to various levels. • Able to climb stairs and spend 6 – 8 hours per day standing and/or walking Working Hours: Monday-Friday, 7AM-3:30PM
