JOB DESCRIPTION:

responsible for executing acrylic batch manufacturing to meet the daily production schedule. This role is responsible for accurately weighing, checking, and mixing specific chemical compounds for product formulations according to the job ticket instructions and established procedures.

Essential Functions

Adhere to all batch instructions as listed on job ticket and produce batched according to the production schedule
Maintain internal communication with the Plant Manager on any production delays or issues
Setup, load, operate, and monitor all mixing machine equipment
Weigh out and mixing exact amounts of chemicals according to specific formulas
Label and forward required batch samples as procedure and/or job ticket indicate
Calibrate, operate, and monitor all batch compounding equipment
Complete the daily Start Up Procedure
Maintain equipment by submitting Maintenance Work Order as needed
Adhere to all aspects of production, sanitizing, sampling, and quality procedures and policies Only blending material that has been released by Quality Control
Appropriately label any RFG containers/storage tanks and store in the designated locations Follow all requirements and recommendations of the OSHA PSM standard as it applies to the Fernley facility
Communicate any deviations to the process to be put processed through the Manufacturing Issue System
Coordinate material production with the Plant Manager in order to expedite production and increase efficiency
Prepare totes for the next job by rinsing, cleaning out, and sanitizing variable tanks and totes as needed and in accordance with the established procedures
Follow all written and verbal instructions, procedures, and policies regarding safety precautions and personal protective equipment and abide by all established safety policies and procedures
Offers suggestions for improvements to the compounding operation and works with other departments to follow through on the improvements
Abide by the requirements and recommendations of the Waste minimization SOP
Assist with batch QC testing, filtration, and truck loading and unloading as needed
Submit any vacation, personal time, or early dismissal to the Plant Manager for approval
Complete all lab work for batch and shipment samples
Load trucks according to the shipment schedule
Complete COA batch production as needed
Filter batches and assisting with batch completion as needed
Successfully complete specific projects or responsibilities assigned by the Plant Manager efficiently and in a timely manner
