Job Description

Ensure designs satisfy given criteria, based on safety, serviceability and performance. Has knowledge of engineering technology, building and construction and public safety and security. Typically has a Bachelors degree and experience with engineering computer applications. The technical skills include the ability to design individual structural elements.

Education/Experience

o Bachelor degree in engineering required.
o 5+ years experience required.

Responsibility level

o Exercises independent judgment with minimal direction from supervisor.

o Creativity, verbal and written communication skills, analytical and problem solving ability (Required)
o Team player and detail oriented (Required)
o Strong leadership and mentoring skills necessary to provide support and constructive performance feedback (Required)
o Advanced ability to make sketches, engineering drawings and common computations (Required)
o Advanced knowledge of mathematics and relevant empirical and theoretical design codes (Typically Required)
o Advanced ability to prepare or present public reports, maps or drawings to plan projects (Typically required)

Major Job Duties and Responsibilities

o Supervise the construction of roads, buildings, airports, tunnels, dams, bridges and water supply and sewage systems
o Review the cost effectiveness, timing, reliability and safety of certain design models to determine project feasibility and approve final design implementation plan
o Review and approve the structural design for an entire system (i.e., building, bridge, etc.)
o Analyze and evaluate impact of project to government regulations and potential environmental hazards
o Manage and direct staff members and the construction, operations, or maintenance activities at project site

• 3+ years designing, developing, and deploying secure multi-application CD/CI pipeline on AWS
• Knowledge or experience integrating trusted protection platform technologies such as KeyScaler and Venafi into secure AWS development and build pipelines
• Knowledge of best practices for designing automated CD/CI pipelines
• Understanding of how applications are constructed and how the application is map to cloud environment resources such as compute and storage
• Experience creating and improving DevOps automated tooling using scripting languages such as python
• Experience in designing reusable CD/CI architecture that adheres to enterprise-wide standards
• Experience in securing large scale CD/CI cloud architecture and developing APIs for secure integrations
• Experience with infrastructure as code using configuration management tools such as ansible and puppet and cloud services such as AWS CloudFormation and Azure Resource Manager
• Experience communicating with users, other technical teams, and management to collect requirements, describe software product features, and technical designs
• Experience working with security architect to implement security strategy
• Experience working in Scrum environment where communication and collaboration are the focus
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Computer Engineering, or a related field
• AWS associate certifications are a plus
