Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering or Mathematics field. Also requires 5+ years of job-related experience, or a Master's degree plus 3 years of job-related experience. Agile experience preferred.CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS:Department of Defense Secret security clearance is required within 24 months of hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.Qualifications:General Dynamics Mission Systems has an immediate opening for a MUOS Splunk Software Engineer. located in our Scottsdale, AZ location.REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES AND TASKS:Responsible for Fault analysis, Trace and Logs AnalysisSound technical knowledge across the Telco domain (3G/4G) including Core Networks and Radio Base StationsPerforms software requirements analysis, participates in research, designs, develops and tests software and tools, to include development of new work products or enhancing existing applications, systems or embedded productsCodes, tests, integrates and documents software solutionsResearches and analyzes data, such as customer design proposals, market trends, state of technology and industry, specifications and manuals to determine feasibility of design or applicationReceives little instruction on day-to-day workKNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES:Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering or Mathematics field. Also requires 5+ years of job-related experience, or a Master's degree plus 3 years of job-related experienceA seasoned, experienced professional with a fully proficient understanding of software engineering concepts, principles, and theories and expert at applying technical standards and methodologies to resolve a wide range of issues in creative waysCapable of working on problems of diverse scope requiring extensive analysis of data and evaluation of a multitude of factorsDemonstrates fully proficient judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutionsFully proficient knowledge of the software development process as well as software engineering concepts, principles, and theoriesPREFERRED DEGREE TYPES AND EXPERIENCE:Splunk Certified Developer5 years of recent development and customization of Splunk apps and dashboardsHighly skilled with troubleshooting Splunk platform and application issues
