 Senior E-Billing Specialist

Our Client, a national employment and labor law firm, is seeking an experienced Senior E-Billing Specialist. This position can sit in our Atlanta, GA, Kansas City, MO, or Los Angeles, CA office. Position Summary

The Senior E-Billing Specialist will be responsible for key phases of the E-Billing process including, bill submission, follow-up on rejected items, and acceptance tracking. This is a high-volume position with multifaceted responsibilities and requires intensive attention to detail.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Execute electronic submission of client invoices via various e-Billing systems.
  • Identify, troubleshoot and resolve issues that arise during the invoice submission process.
  • Coordinate with attorneys, and administrative staff for resolution and maintenance tasks associated with client e-Billing requirements.
  • Escalate issues as needed to Supervisor.
  • Track statuses of submitted invoices to ensure payment from client.
  • Maintain internal database of e-billed clients and their compliance requirements.
  • Document and update reference materials for all aspects of the e-Billing process as necessary.
  • Assist with partner and client inquiries in a timely manner.
  • Provide updates and financial analysis to attorneys, clients and administrative staff as requested.
  • Work with management, and outside counsel to support and expand the Firm's e-Billing program.
  • Review processed legal, and related legal service provider bills from various internal and external sources for accuracy.
  • Help manage and curate data in the departments matter management/ e-Billing system.
  • Perform research, ad hoc reporting and other analysis projects.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Personal Attributes

  • Candidate must be highly organized and must be able to communicate and meet with attorneys to clarify billing specifics.
  • This position requires great communication skills, both verbally and written, to attorneys and will include both follow through and follow up skills.
  • Must be proactive, self-starter, quick learner and detail oriented with the ability to work independently.
  • Must have a professional demeanor with the ability to work in a team setting.
  • Advanced Excel skills, experience with formulas, v lookups and pivot tables.
  • Strong experience manipulating and scrubbing data.
  • High level analytical and problem solving skills.

Position Qualifications

  • Candidate must have a minimum of 2-3 years of e-Billing experience navigating systems such as eBillingHub or Bill Blast; Legal eXchange, Legal-X, Legal Tracker, Litigation Advisor [LSS], TyMetrix360 and similar systems.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent preferred, but not required, and at least 2 years of experience with billing, preferably in a law firm or legal environment.
