<p>Sr. Electrical Designer<br /> <br /> Portland, OR<br /> <br /> Responsibilities:<br /> <br /> The following duties are typical of the position but are not all encompassing. Responsibilities include those required to deliver quality service on schedule and within budget in a team environment.<br /> <br /> <br /> Interprets, organizes, executes, and coordinates large assignments with overall responsibility for budget adherence, quality control, and inter-discipline coordination.<br /> Makes decisions independently on design problems, practices andSr. Electrical Designer methods.<br /> Represents the firm in meetings and conferences to resolve important questions and to plan and coordinate a project.<br /> Serves as a job captain on single and/or multi-discipline projects.<br /> Understands other discipline's needs and requirements and relates them to own discipline and total project scope.<br /> Prepares studies and schematic (conceptual) designs for new systems and analyzes operation of existing systems.<br /> Works with code officials, and other design professionals, in interpretation or exception to codes.<br /> Assigns and reviews work of project design team. Checks progress of work and alerts project manager to changes of scope or additional services.<br /> Writes scope of work for design based on preliminary review and meetings with external customers.<br /> Assesses the requirements of a project, breaks a project into tasks and works with management to determine scope of work, budget and project staffing needs.<br /> May be requested to perform in a project management role.<br /> May check portions, or entire, completed drawings.<br /> May serve in chosen discipline as a staff advisor or consultant in the role of technical specialist requiring highly specialized knowledge and skills and the use of advanced techniques.<br /> Travel may be required.<br /> <br /> <br /> Qualifications:<br /> <br /> <br /> Associate Degree or certification of completion of other post secondary training in engineering or architectural fields preferred.<br /> Minimum twenty (20) years of designer experience.<br /> Successful with leading muti-discipline design projects<br /> Electrical design experience with strong working knowledge of Revit<br /> <br /> <br /> </p>
