JOB DESCRIPTION:

Turbines Center of Excellence responsible for design and analysis of turbine components with a primary focus on thermal and secondary flow analysis of cooled and un-cooled turbine components. Responsible for all internal activities and product development. Requires a bachelor's degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering and at least 5 years of experience in the field or in a related area.

1. Experience in Turbine components thermal design and analysis.
2. Create and carry out 2D and 3D steady state and transient conduction-convection thermal models using NX thermal or equivalent software.
3. Create and carry out 3D conjugate heat transfer model and analysis using StarCCM+ or equivalent software.
4. Familiar with secondary flow system design and analysis.
5. Support engine thermal survey testing and data postprocessing for thermal model calibration, engine certification, RCCA or SRD efforts.
6. Familiar with CAD tools such as NX, or able to manipulate geometries using other CAD tools.
7. Able to perform risk assessments and problem solving with root cause analysis.
8. Communicate technical results to internal customers through written reports and oral presentations.
