Sr Business Analyst Client: BCBS Location: Newark, NJ (Hybrid)   14+ years of work experience with last 10+ years in Healthcare domain (Payor) as a business analyst and Subject Matter Expert (SME). Must have good understanding of HIPPA. Must have good understanding on Commercial and Government Healthcare plans This position will be an expert who would engage with customer to understand the business requirements and help identify and prioritize opportunities for improvement. Must be able to facilitate requirements gathering sessions with IT and Business Liaisons for workgroup meetings to understand and document business needs and requirements. Perform current state analysis of existing business systems, applications, functions, and processes. Must be able to understand, discover and document current and proposed functional flows. Must have ability to finding gaps in functionalities that need to be implemented or addressed. Act as a bridge between IT and the business divisions. Must be able to analyze and evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, break-down high-level information into details, abstract up from low-level information to a general understanding, and distinguish user requests from the underlying true needs. Facilitate effective review and hand-off of functional requirements to application developer(s) to enable effective solution design and development. Must be able to analyze trade-offs between usability and performance needs. Drive business process improvement and/or system optimization initiatives in support of strategic priorities. Proactively communicate and collaborate with Project Manager to analyze information needs and functional requirements. Must have ability to work in agile environment. Induct, prioritize, and manage backlog of enhancements and projects in support of stakeholder needs. Document business and functional requirements in support of prioritized projects. Create a document of understanding (DOU) or help guide for each of the applications as required. Create systems integration and user acceptance test plans and effective test scripts as required. Work with testing resources, coordinate test activities and report on testing status. Identify inefficiencies in IT business process, research solutions and make recommendations for continuous improvement. Interact with senior internal and external personnel on significant technical matters. Must have excellent presentation skills Must have excellent communication skill. Manage go-live and post-production support activities Must be a team player and passionate about his/her profession.
