Position Summary:
The Sr R&D Electronics Eng, will contribute in the development of new or existing products with focus on PCBA design and testing. Candidate is highly proficient with current development tools, practices, processes and experienced in electronics testing and design. Candidate is highly experienced in electronics design for mixed signal systems (analog and digital) with particular focus on electro-mechanical systems with motor control and sensors interfaces. Candidate must be onsite fulltime to work with hardware and team members.
Primary Responsibilities:
Lead the technical design and development of PCBAs for electromechanical systems.
Utilizes best practice implementation for analysis and SPICE simulations to evaluate circuits.
Lead/contribute to the definition of electronics PCBA testing requirements, creating design descriptions and specifications, authoring testing protocols, conduct and/or overseeing testing, and issue resolution.
Collaborate in system integration, troubleshooting, and design updates
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in electronics or biomedical engineering is required. A masters degree is preferred.
7+ yrs experience in the product development role, with at least five years-experience in R&D with medical devices preferred.
Experience with motor control, HDMI, Ethernet, USB design and layout is required.
Experience with simulation software such as LTSPICE or TINA is required.
Experience with creating electronics test protocols and execution of electronics tests is required.
Proficiency in Altium or similar eCAD tool is required.
Proficiency in MATLAB and/or C is highly desired.
Knowledge of EtherCAT communication preferred
Knowledge of 60601-1 and 60601-1-2 [EMC] testing and test setup development is highly desired
This will be a hybrid position, starting with full-time onsite and moving to 3 days onsite.
